Devices for falling number determination PCHP-99 are designed for measuring, according to Hagberg-Perten method, the international standardized value of the "falling number" - the parameter which carries information on the activity of alpha-amylase in grains and flour (wheat, rye), the degree of germination of grains and is responsible for the quality of baked bread.
  The method is based on fast gelatinization of flour suspension in the boiling heated bath and subsequent measurement of its dilution degree under the action of alpha amylase.

The method is based on fast gelatinization of flour suspension in the boiling heated bath and subsequent measurement of its dilution degree under the action of alpha amylase. The activity of alpha amylase is characterized by the germination degree and may be determined by applying a complex chemical method. In PCHP-99 devices, accelerated measuring method is used which to a high precision coincides with the chemical analysis. PCHP-99 devices are simple and reliable in operation; due to their features, they correspond to foreign analogues and have an affordable price.

PCHP-99 devices are manufactured in two modifications: one-channel and two-channel. They are entered in the State Register of Ukraine under № У 1235-99.

The devices are applied at grain-collecting agricultural enterprises, mill plants in bread-making industry.

The method of falling number measurement for grain crops, used in PCHP-99 devices, corresponds to GOST 30498-97 (ISО 3093-82), introduced by the order of the State Standard of Ukraine as of 1.07.99.
