Falling number determiner (PCHP) FN-II is designed for applying in laboratories of enterprises of agro-industrial complex and first of all in testing laboratories for quality control of grains and their derivative products. The method of falling number determination is based on fast gelatinization of water suspension in the boiling heated bath and subsequent measurement of wheatpaste dilution degree under the action of alpha amylase which is contained in the specimen.

The method is standardized by the following international organizations: ICC, AACC, ISO and ASBC
